Heart attacks are the leading cause of deaths in the India. As per the statistics, one-fifth of the deaths in India are from Coronary Heart Disease. By the year 2020, it will account for one-third of all the deaths in the country. There is an estimate of 45 million patients with Coronary Artery Disease in India. With an increasing number of young Indians hooked to roller-coaster lifestyle and falling prey to coronary artery disease, the future looks even grimmer.

There is a huge need for Nurses, Paramedics, Doctors, First Responders and even general public to be aware of identifying the symptoms of the cardiac arrest and how to act in case of an emergency. BeMax Academy being a Training Center for American Heart Association has trained 1000+ healthcare providers and police personnel on Basic Life Support Skills & Advanced Cardiac Life Support Skills. Our clients and participants have shared experiences, when they have been able to act more effectively in a crisis situation and saved a life.

 

 

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT

Advanced cardiac life support or advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) refers to a set of clinical interventions for the urgent treatment of cardiac arrest, stroke and other life-threatening medical emergencies, as well as the knowledge and skills to deploy those interventions. In the UK, a parallel protocol (advanced life support) is used.

Healthcare professionals who respond to cardiovascular emergencies in and out of the hospital enhance their treatment knowledge and skills through the AHA’s ACLS training courses. This course emphasizes the importance of basic life support (BLS), integration of effective BLS with ACLS interventions, and effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.

Duration of the Course is 2 days (6hrs+6hrs)

There will be a written and skill assessment exam that will be conducted at the end of the course. On successful completion of the course the participants will be given the AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate valid internationally for two years.

Course Content

  • Airway management
  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an AED
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
  • Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics
  • Key changes in advanced cardiovascular life support, reflecting the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia and myocardial infarction
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Related pharmacology

 

 

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

Basic life support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. It can be provided by trained medical personnel, including emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and by qualified bystanders.

Duration of the Course is 1 day (6 hours)

There will be a written and skill assessment exam that will be conducted at the end of the course. On successful completion of the course the participants will be given the AHA Basic Life Support certificate valid internationally for two years.

In this classroom-based course, healthcare professionals learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
