As we all know, the updated OET writing criteria has taken effect from August 2019. There is no change in the writing strategies, skills, and language proficiency level. You still be required to write a formal letter and for still have 5 minutes of reading time and40 minutes of writing time. The purpose of the letter and the language you use should help the reader of the letter to extract the information easily and concisely.

Focus on who will be reading your letter, what you want the reader to do and why you want the reader to do it. The Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) has confirmed that they will accept OET writing grade to C+ alongside a minimum of a B grade in Listening, Reading and Speaking from 28th January 2020. A piece of good news for nurses who wish to work in the United Kingdom (UK).
